They will attend the Stars of the Industry luncheon on Oct. 30 at Hyatt O’Hare. There will be winners for the whole industry in different categories, but regardless of what happens, they’re our brightest stars!
The exhibit, titled Human Soul and Machine: The Coming Singularity is “mind-tickling and eye-tickling” and “filled with objects that are so attractive on first glance and so intriguing on subsequent inspection that no back story is needed.” One of Christian’s sculptures, “Piano Family: Amoroso”, serves as the poster child for the new exhibit and is, as City Paper calls it, “…both beautiful and unnerving,”. Human Soul and Machine: The Coming Singularity is running at the AVAM through August 31, 2014. To read the complete article please visit this link.
Today seems like the perfect day for a little time traveling… how about back to 1926, the opening year of Hotel Wacker, the place you now know of as Hotel Felix. You may be amazed at the facade’s similarity between now and then, and that was due to a concerted effort on our part to preserve as much of the historical exterior as possible. This was one of many reasons we earned LEED Silver certification for our environmental achievements, plus we wanted to save as much rich history from the original structure as possible, down to replicating the marquis signage (with one small change – replacing it with our name!).
