Just because winter is approaching us here in Chicago doesn’t mean the fun stops! There’s still a great amount of things to eat, drink, see and do. We’re excited to share some of our favorite date ideas from this article by Time Out Chicago. Bundle up and explore the city, then come back to our hotel to warm up!
Ice Skating at Maggie Daley Park – Admission is free – all you have to pay for are your ice skates! Sip on a hot chocolate afterwards and laugh about all the times you both fell.
Head to an Arcade – Chicago’s home to Emporium Arcade Bars – with multiple locations! One was recently opened in Fulton Market – just under 2 miles away from our hotel. Try a new beer and like a kid again!
Eat Food – Chicago’s home to so many great food options – which brings a TON of delivery options, too! Our hotel is located in the River North neighborhood, home to great options like Lou Melnati’s (you have to try deep dish pizza while you’re in Chicago) – or Troquet River North – the French bistro adjacent to our lobby!
Getting ready for the holiday season? We think the perfect way to do so is to visit the Lincoln Park Zoo Lights! The event returns to the zoo this weekend and the best part is that it’s free! We love visiting the zoo to see the beautiful light fixtures and other special exhibits that are thrown on by the zoo. The event runs through early January and you will definitely catch us making a visit!
Visit the Lincoln Park Zoo’s website for more information.
We love Chicago because it’s home to such a diverse group of things to see, eat, drink and do. What’s even better? When these things are free!
