We’re in the festive holiday spirit and we want to share more exciting holiday events. We hope you enjoyed our first list in this blog post, but of course winter fun in Chicago doesn’t stop there. From skating in Millennium Park to Hot Coco in the Walnut Room Chicago is full of holiday fun.
Ice Skating in Millennium Park
Skate for free with one of the best architectural views of Chicago as your backdrop. The McCormick Tribune Ice Rink free and open to the public, although you can rent ice skates for $10. The rink is located on Michigan Avenue between Washington and Madison. Check here for more information including hours of operation.
The Walnut Room
The Walnut room stands as a historic venue since it’s opening in 1907. Located on the 7th floor in the Macy’s on State, this iconic dining room adds a magic touch to any holiday experience. Even if you are too full to eat in the Walnut Room, catch Macy’s holiday windows on State or take a picture by the icon holiday tree. More information on visiting the Walnut room can be found here.
Museums in Chicago
Winter season means a different experience at every Chicago attraction. The Museum of Science & Industry has an exhibit showing Christmas around the World and Holidays of Lights. The Adler Planetarium hosts special events to show why winter is a great time to stargaze. Even the Field Museum decorates for the season.
