Divvy Celebrates Its 4th Birthday With Chicago Food-Themed Bikes

As we’ve talked about in previous blog posts before, we love Divvy bikes! They are a great way for Chicagoans and tourists alike to get around the city and are an environmentally friendly method of transportation, with is something that is important here at Hotel Felix.

Starting tomorrow, Wednesday June 28, in honor of the Divvy’s 4th birthday, the bike sharing program will be featuring a handful of Chicago food-themed bikes – like the Chicago hot dog, our famous deep dish pizza, and of course, birthday cake!

You can also get a $15 discount of the annual membership between Monday, June 26 and Friday, July 7 in honor of the celebration.

To find more information about Divvy, check out their website.

If you’re looking to take a ride today, there is a Divvy station just steps away from our hotel at Wells & Huron Street.

Happy riding!

Sustainable Art at Hotel Felix

We’re proud to be the home of three sustainable art sculptures outside our hotel that greet guests and Chicagoans alike as they walk by.

Loren, the ever-popular 7-foot, interactive “Doorman” and Madeline, Loren’s 8-foot love and “Green Queen.”

We started with Loren in 2010 as our first larger-than-life art sculpture.  Then, in 2011 on Earth Day, we added Madeline, who joined Loren and they have been a popular couple ever since.

In 2012, we added Scrappy, the four-legged eco-friendly pup as well.
