Two New Job Opportunities at the Hotel Felix Chicago

We’re pleased to announce two new job openings at the Hotel Felix.  We’re looking to add two dynamic and personable team members and the job  descriptions are below:

1. Front Desk Agent
– Provide friendly, efficient registration and information to all guests, visitors and fellow employees.
– Check guests in and out of the hotel, ensuring proper credit is received, special requests are noted / fulfilled and accurate information is established.
– Initiate, monitor and complete shift checklist.
– Thoroughly complete all guest transactions.
– Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of all hotel amenities as well as any special events or groups.
– Resolve complaints and inquiries concerning service and facilities.
– Interact with other hotel staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
– Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and policies.
– Maintain a bank and handle all cash according to hotel policies and procedures.
– Communicate all pertinent information to the Front Desk Supervisor, Front Office Director or Director of Operations as needed.
– Answer the telephone in a professional manner and assist guests with any questions, concerns and requests.
– Ensure that the front desk and back office is clean and well organized.
– Communicate with public, hotel staff and management in a professional manner.

2. Night Audit – Essential functions include but are not limited to:
– Responsible for auditing the hotel’s daily cumulative income.
– Act as a Manager on Duty from 11pm-7am.
– Check guests in and out of the hotel, ensuring proper credit is received, special requests are noted/fulfilled and accurate information is established.
– Answer the telephone in a professional manner and assist guests with any questions, concerns and requests.
– Respond to guest requests with courtesy and efficiency.
– Ensure that all charges of the day have been properly posted to the appropriate accounts.
– Ensure that all miscellaneous charges and adjustments have been posted and balanced.
– Ensure that all guest charges have been balanced from the various outlets and applied to the appropriate accounts.
– Balance accounts, run financial reports and attach all supporting documentation to the day end report as outlined in the checklist.
– Communicate all pertinent information or issues to the Director of Finance or Front Office management.
– Resolve complaints and inquiries concerning service and facilities.
– Be knowledgeable of all hotel emergency procedures and policies.
– Maintain a bank and handle all cash transactions according to Hotel policies and procedures.
– Effectively coordinate relocation of guests when necessary.
– Ensure that the front desk and back office is clean and well organized before the end of the shift.
