  • Slide through the City

Posted on July 26th, 2016 gjordan No comments

What better way is there to cool down from the Chicago city heat than to cool off on a giant water slide?

This weekend, Slide the City is bringing their massive water slide to Montrose Beach right here in Chicago. On July 30, participants who are 5 years of age and up can visit Cricket Hill to ride this gigantic water slide.

Photo Credit via Slide the City’s Website.

The slide will be open from 10am to 6pm and there will be food trucks there as well as plenty of music to keep the party going.

We love this event because those at “Slide the City” are environmentally-conscious thinkers, like us, and even have more information on water sustainability on their website. The slide is built for the water to be recirculated throughout the day.

To purchase tickets, click here. Move quickly, because the event is almost sold out!

Sujeet Patel is a writer for the popular blog Guys Gab, and we were lucky enough to have him visit us last month after spending a few days in the city for Chicago.

Sujeet had some great things to say about our hotel from the moment he walked into the front doors:

“When entering the Hotel Felix lobby, you’re greeted by a ceiling-high mosaic of logs, water pond, and delicate orbs floating over a fireplace. These elements not only create a calming atmosphere throughout the hotel, but they also symbolize an “earth, wind, fire, and water” theme that embodies their commitment to being green,” he writes.

He also commented on our location to a number of great restaurants, shopping and nightlife:

“There are lots of great restaurants to choose from, the Magnificent Mile and other attractions are just a few blocks away, and the night life is pretty sweet, with plenty of clubs, bars and lounges to choose from!”
